Ever since the financial crisis, consumers’ distrust of banks and many insurance companies has been well documented, but as a strategist, do you know what underlying beliefs — or narratives — are driving the volatile “trust conversation”? Monitor 360 — through its Narrative Analytics process — has surfaced and quantified nine core narratives that represent the range of consumer beliefs about banks. We found that different financial services brands are associated with these narratives to differing degrees, presenting unique opportunities and risks for strategic planning.
